WHAT HAPPENS DURING A COOLSCULPTING PROCEDURE?
Dr. Casey cleans the site thoroughly and places a protective gel pad on your body in the area of treatment. She then uses a handheld device with an applicator that provides computer-controlled cooling. She moves the applicator over the targeted area, which gently pulls the skin just inside the applicator. Your skin is numb by this time.
It’s normal to feel some pulling or tugging during the CoolSculpting procedure. The fat cells are being frozen. You get a nice massage to the area once the applicator has done its work. The massage helps break up any lumps of tissue that are frozen.
